Clean technology has a pivotal role to play in developing Victoria’s clean economy, supporting our transition to a low-carbon economy and to adapt to the impacts of climate change. It is also central to the future vision for Fishermans Bend and a priority sector for the future Fishermans Bend Innovation Precinct.
Based at the FB IDEAs Hub, the Victorian Clean Tech Cluster (VCC) is an industry network dedicated to supporting companies and founders who are researching, developing, commercialising and promoting clean technology solutions.
To support the growth and success of cleantech businesses within Fishermans Bend, the VCC are delivering a number of cleantech initiatives.
Cleantech Power On Incubator program
Starting in December 2024, the Cleantech Power On program will be Victoria’s first dedicated clean technology incubator program, supporting cleantech startups and scaleups to develop and commercialise new products and services from Fishermans Bend.
The program will support startups to develop their technologies, seek funding and investment, access customers and markets, test and pilot their solutions, develop partnerships with corporates, and unlock their full potential.
Program participants will have the opportunity to join the community at the FB IDEAs Hub and tap into a growing innovation ecosystem in Fishermans Bend. The culmination of this program will be the Victorian Cleantech Showcase, where the program participants will have the opportunity to exhibit and demonstrate their technology to a wide audience.

Victorian Cleantech Showcase Event
In April 2025, Fishermans Bend will host the VCC’s annual Victorian Cleantech Showcase event. Bringing together hundreds of cleantech innovators, supporters and investors, along with around 50 exhibiting companies, this event will promote Fishermans Bend as THE centre of cleantech innovation and collaboration.
The Victorian Cleantech Showcase will be an interactive and insightful event for the people and organisations developing our clean economy through technologies, products, services and research. Attendees will hear from leading voices from industry, government, education and finance and make valuable connections with people from across the cleantech ecosystem. There will also be technology demonstrations, panels and presentations, company showcases, pitching and extensive networking opportunities.
