In partnership with Eigensystems and SAE University College, FB IDEAs are thrilled to support the Australian node of the 10th International Quantum Game Jam at Fishermans Bend on 14-15 September 2024. Created by the International Game Developers Association in Finland, this global event invites participants to develop games using quantum computing technology. This year, participants will use the Quokka, a hybrid cloud and Personal 30-qubit Edge Quantum Computing (PEQC) platform by Eigensystems, designed for quantum education.

Registrations are now open to participate at this free event! After the event, Quokka devices and access to the platform will be available for short-term loans to Fishermans Bend partners interested in exploring quantum coding.

Create quantum games and run them on quantum computers! No game development or quantum computing experience is required!

In teams, you will design a game that incorporates ideas and concepts from quantum computing. Your game can even run on one of the many Quokka quantum emulators that will be available. Quokka inventor and celebrated quantum literacy advocate Chris Ferrie will be there to guide you and explain everything you need to know about quantum computing.
