FB IDEAs Projects to be showcased in Melbourne Design Week 2025

We are excited to announce that not one, but four projects supported by FB IDEAs will be showcased during Melbourne Design Week this May!

As Australia’s premier design festival, Melbourne Design Week offers a prestigious platform for bold ideas and creative excellence. Congratulations to all the teams and partners involved—this recognition is a testament to the incredible innovation, collaboration, and community spirit driving design in Fishermans Bend.

Novel Natures: Panel Discussion & Exhibition Launch

A panel conversation exploring how design and ecology intersect to reimagine urban biodiversity in the Lower Birrarung.


Novel Futures: Exhibition

Where: Seafarers Mission, Docklands
Presented by: Haptera Studio, as part of Novel Aquatic Habitats project

And exhibition showcasing early concepts for novel habitats imagined for future deployment across Fishermans Bend.


Made by Robots: Exhibition

When: Thursday 15 to Sunday 25 May 2025
Where: 884 Lorimer Street, Docklands
Presented by: Melbourne School of Design (University of Melbourne), as part of More-than-Human Habitats project.

An in-situ prototype of a more-than-human habitat, robotically fabricated to support biodiversity at Fishermans Bend.
